Founded in 1960 as a family business servicing our community, M.L. Cutler services our community, providing exceptional business insurance and financial services. In 2012, James G. Mignone joined the agency and is now President.
Bringing over 40 years of insurance experience in personal lines, commercial lines, inland marine, and risk management, Jim leads the team under the principles of four pillars: trust, reliability, expertise and advocacy.
M.L. Cutler is an independent insurance agency providing tailored insurance solutions to meet your needs no matter where your road leads. As you reach new milestones and hit speed bumps, our caring and knowledgeable employees are ready to champion on your behalf to ensure you, your information, and your assets are secure. In 2017, M.L. Cutler welcomed Christopher Mignone who brings experience in marine and jewelry insurance. Our firm continues to be family owned and operated, providing uncompromised service and incomparable solutions.
OUR PRESIDENT
James G. Mignone
James leads the team at M.L. Cutler to provide unmatched service and solutions. With over 30 years of extensive insurance industry experience in personal lines, commercial lines, inland marine, and risk management, James leads the team under the four pillars: trust, advocacy, expertise and reliability.

James began his career in 1984 at Chubb Insurance where he worked with high net-worth individuals in the personal lines division. He later served as Team Leader at Crum & Forster, managing a team to ensure the highest quality service.

Prior to joining M.L. Cutler in 2012, James most recently worked at ADP Insurance in the commercial lines division, working tirelessly to develop a diverse book of business consisting of great client relationships.
​
Beyond the office, James serves on the Community Board at Employment Horizons, an organization that provides job training and placement to Morris County citizens with disabilities.
​
In his leisure time, James can be found instructing a cycle class, walking his dog, or relaxing on the beach with his family.
